Man who killed girlfriend’s brother over washroom space jailed for 20 years

A 35-year-old man who killed his girlfriend’s brother during a row over washroom space was on Wednesday sentenced to serve 20 years in prison.
Travis Hyman, a former sawmill worker, was arrested and charged with murder after he killed 52-year-old Alvy Israel Richmond, stabbing him to the heart during an argument at his Strath-Campbell, Mahaicony, East Coast Demerara home in 2014. Hyman had opted to plea to the lesser count of manslaughter.
