According to a police release, the crash involved a motor lorry, registration number GRR 6089, owned by a private construction company and driven by a 33-year-old Alberttown, Georgetown, resident, and motorcycle CG 5938, driven by Laron Harris, 17, of Dochfour, East Coast Demerara. Harris was accompanied by a pillion rider, identified as Josiah Abrams, whose age and address are yet to be confirmed.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the lorry was heading west along the southern lane, while the motorcycle was traveling east at an alleged fast rate. Police said Harris reportedly swerved to avoid two goats on the roadway and collided head-on with the oncoming lorry.

The lorry driver was given a breathalyzer test, which returned a negative result. Both vehicles have been lodged at the Cove and John Police Station as the investigation continues.

Police said investigations are ongoing.
